EndSARS Protest: Many inmates killed at Ikoyi Prison – Fisayo Soyombo

The tales of the EndSARS Protests may gradually be dying down, but one area many journalists may not be looking at is the killings of many inmates in several attempted prison breaks across the country.

Fisayo Soyombo, an Investigative Journalist has confirmed that many inmates at the Ikoyi Prison were killed during the attempted prison break during the protests.

In a tweet on Wednesday, October 28, 2020; Soyombo said;

“Just confirming that many inmates were killed in last week’s attempted jailbreak at Ikoyi Prison, even though it escaped the notice of mainstream media. If you have loved ones at Ikoyi Prison, you’d do well to physically check on them to confirm if they’re dead or alive.”

As investigations and panels are being setup in States across the country, this areas should also be looked at.
