EndSARS Protests: AfDB President, Akinwumi Adesina caution on use of force on protesters

President of African Development Bank, Akinwumi Adesina, has caution the Nigeria’s Government on the use of force on protesters, rather look for ways in addressing issues raised by the youths.

Adesina, who got re-elected for a second tenure as head of the Bank recently, tweeted;

“The seed that grows becomes a tree. The seeds of Nigeria are its youth. Protect the youth. Protect our women. Protect everyone. Every life matters. End all forms of police brutality. Ensure justice and rule of law. Save the nation. #EndSARS”

This call is coming on the heel of government plan to deploy the military on protesters in the name of military exercise beginning from Tuesday.
