The English Premier League season has been confirmed for a restart on June 17, 2020 with outstanding fixtures involving Aston Villa vs Sheffield United and Manchester City vs Arsenal.
This will be followed by the remaining main full fixture to be played on the weekend of 19-21 June.
As at the time of this report, clubs are still discussing the idea at a meeting on Thursday, but it is understood all have agreed in principle at this stage.
Stakeholders had previously voted for group training in a meeting on Wednesday 27th May, 2020 which many see as a green light towards “Project Restart.”
The Premier League was suspended on 13 March due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Liverpool are currently topping the league with 25 points clear of second place Manchester City.
