According to the Nigeria Legal View, the following are the main contents of a Warrant of Arrest:

  1. Must be in writing
  2. The date of issue
  3. The particulars of the offence
  4. The name of the suspect
  5. The name of the officer to execute the warrant
  6. The signature of the Judge; or Magistrate or Justice of Peace.
