The Lagos State Government has said, the purported report that the State government will fine violators of the curfew imposed on Dec. 31, 2020 between N20,000 to N500,000 is not true.
In a statement, the State government said;
“The attention of LASG has been drawn to an online news quoting the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, as saying fines ranging between N20,000 and N500,000 will be imposed on violators of the curfew on Dec. 31, 2020. This is inaccurate and misleading.”
Lagos State government like some others in the Federation has ban the crossover service. This is due to the spike in COVID-19 cases.
