Governor Obaseki calls for calm over disqualification

Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki has called for calm over his disqualification by the All Progressives Congress (APC) screening committee to contest the primary for the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the State.

According to the governor;

“We call on all party members and our teeming supporters to remain calm and await further directives, in the light of the announcement of my unjust disqualification to participate in APC primary election in Edo State by the screening committee.”

The APC Screening Committee had earlier reported to have disqualified Governor Obaseki over some discrepancies in his educational certificates and NYSC to contest the Party’s primary election in the State

The Panel was said to have also disqualified Hon. Matthew Iduoroyekemwen and Egnr. Chris Ogiemwonyi.

Meanwhile, the committee cleared Pastor Osagie Ize- Iyamu, Dr. Pius Odubu and Hon. Osaro Obazee.
