House Democrat, Vernon Jones recedes decision to resign

A lifelong Democrats and Georgia State Representative in the United States Congress Vernon Jones has receded his decision to step down and also leave the Party after series of criticism from Party members in and out of Congress in recent days for his support for President Donald Trump.

According to Jones,

“Yesterday, I announced my intentions to resign from my office. But shortly thereafter, the outpour of support I received was too great for me to ignore. I will not allow the Democrats to bully me into submission. I will not let them win. I will NOT resign.

Mr Jones is a lifelong Democrats and Georgia State Representative in the Congress and lifelong Democrat who believe that in forthcoming election, he will be casting his vote for President Donald Trump.

According to him, “I didn’t leave the Democratic Party. The Party left me”

Jones also said, “I will continue to let the Democratic Party know that the bigotry within its party is hurting African-Americans”.

As at the time of this report, no comment has been received yet from the Democrat House leadership.
