President Buhari commiserate with the Bama Emirate over death of Kyari Ibn El-Kanemi

President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed sadness over the death of the Shehu of Bama, Alhaji Kyari Ibn Umar El-Kanemi.

According to Presidential Media Aide, Bashir Ahmad,

“President Buhari described the late Shehu as a humble and unassuming traditional ruler whose death was not only a great loss to Borno State but also to the country at large.

President Buhari also prayed for the repose of the late Shehu to find peace with the Almighty.

The late Shehu according to statement by the Borno State government died on Monday afternoon in a Maiduguri hospital.

Bama was one of the major Towns in Borno State that was captured in 2014 by the terrorist group, Boko Haram but was later freed by the Nigerian Military.
