Racism and Protest: Pope Francis calls for reconciliation and peace

The Roman Catholic Pontif, Pope Francis has called for prayers for reconciliation and peace.

This follow concerted effort by World leaders to call for restrain over violent protests in the United State caused by the murder of George Floyd by police officers.

Pope Francis tweeted;

“We cannot tolerate or turn a blind eye to racism and exclusion in any form. At the same time, we have to recognize that violence is self-destructive and self-defeating. Nothing is gained by violence and so much is lost. Let us pray for reconciliation and peace.”
