Strike Action Update: FG and Organized Labour yet to come to compromise

The planned industrial action announced by the Organised Labour may commence any moment from now if no resolution is reached within the next few minutes.

According to the Minister of State, Labour & Employment, Chief Festus Keyamo;

“At this moment (about 11pm) the Federal Govt team is still in talks with Organized Labour team regarding the planned industrial action earlier announced to start by 00hrs 28th September 2020.”

The Minister also noted that;

“We are making a last-ditch effort to reach some kind of compromise/agreement.”

The Organised Labour has called on nationwide Strike over the hardship suffer by Nigerians as a result of the recent increased in Petroleum products and electricity tariff, insisting the Federal Government should revert to the previous rates so to cushion the effect of the COVID-19 in the populace.
