We Are Not Owner Of Schools Where 140 Teachers Were Reportedly Sacked ― DSS

The Department of Security Services (DSS) has distanced itself from the ownership of the Primary and Secondary Schools, Community Staff Schools, Asokoro, Abuja, where 140 teachers were reportedly sacked on Monday by its management.

This was contained in a statement by it’s spokesperson, Dr Peter Afunanya on Thursday.

Dr Afunanya noted that, “the school is autonomous and not run by the service as being alleged.” He added that, the school has an “independent board that takes decisions for it. It has no link with the service.”

Over the week, there were several online reports of the DSS sacking the entire staff of the schools over demand for a better condition of service.
