WHO adds Hausa to OpenWHO course ‘Intro to COVID-19’

The World Health Organization (WHO) has added Added Hausa, Swahili, Amharic among 13 languages through which Introduction to COVID-19 enlightenment program will be taught.

This was made known by Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization. According to Tedros;

“Pleased to announce the #OpenWHO course ‘Intro to #COVID19‘ is now available in 3 new languages: Amharic (አማርኛ), Hausa & Swahili – bringing the total to 16. Knowledge is key to beat the #coronavirus globally. Together we can do it!

Hausa is one of the most spoken languages in Africa with over 120 million speakers.
