Why negotiations with bandits lead to more attacks – Senator Sani

Human rights activist and Ex-Senator, Shehu Sani has given three reasons why negotiations with bandits has led to more attacks.

According to Senator Sani, “Bandits are cluster groups without a central leadership;”

Secondly, ‘their motivation is money & can only be sustained by money;”

Also, Sani opined that “they are transnational gangs, which operates without respect or recognition for any laws or government.”

In recent Months, there have been increased in Bandits attacks across the country with higher proportion of these attacks in the North Western States of Sokoto, Katsina, Zamfara, Niger among others.
